Pinnacle Plus Met FAQs

It includes a built-in metatarsal pad that cushions the forefoot, while the standard Pinnacle does not.

Yes. The met pad reduces localized pressure that contributes to Morton’s neuroma pain.

They are best in footwear with removable liners, such as walking shoes, work boots, or casual sneakers.

With daily wear, expect about 6 months of support before replacement is recommended.

Relief from corns

"I was having foot pain due to corns in the front of my foot. At first, the insert felt awkward, but overtime they became comfortable, and now they enable me to stand and walk around all day without pain!"

Karen C. (5/5)

They are too big for my sneakers. I am size 9 (women) and your sizes are strange. If I cut a little the toe area - it may fit but that will make the other parts of the insole - in wrong locations for my foot.

Yes

"The insoles are working very well. I have less foot pain. I’m ordering a second pair so I can keep in two pair of shoes that I alternate"

Bob A. (5/5)

Performance

"I'm still breaking them in. The ball of my foot has been good. But my arch and ankles are giving me spasms. Don't know if I got the correct powerstep. Time will tell."

Janice N. (3/5)

Amazing!!! I have callus that

"Amazing!!! I have callus that builds at the ball of my foot and this has truly allowed me to wear sneakers with so much comfort! True to my size in shoe. Will come back and buy more. My podiatrist recommended and it was the best advice ever!!"

Vanessa G. (5/5)

Good choice for my feet

"I broke 3 toes a few months ago. And have had pain walking. These have been great. I switch them from shoe to shoe."

Lisa S. (5/5)

Excellent. Within 3 days I

"Excellent. Within 3 days I noticed a significant difference. Within 8 days I am pain free. Highly reccomend"

Amber B. (5/5)

Not for me

"I have Morton’s Neuroma and was really hoping this would work for me- so far it seems like it just exacerbates the pain. Unfortunately, not the product for me"

Donna G. (2/5)

mostly good

"Comfortable on my foot but the sizing seems a little small. I wear a 12-1/2 and got the IJ size for 12-13 shoes. The insole fits my 12 shoes fine, but is too short and small to use in my 13 shoes. That's kind of a bummer for me."

jalapeno (4/5)

not for me

"The metatarsalgia position of the pad doese not line up with my foot. . Waste of money"

Q&A

I wear a 5.5. I have your 6. Doesn't fit in a 5.5. Will your men 5 5.5 fit
Hi Linda, a men's 5.5 is equivalent to a women's 7.5. You can trim your size 6 down to fit your 5.5 shoes. We suggest using your shoe's factory insole as a guide.
I am between two sizes (7.5-8) should I size up or down
Hi Sue! Our orthotics are designed to fit by shoes size, so we recommend ordering the size to match your shoe. We also have dimensions on each of our product pages which can be helpful if you are still unsure. We recommend removing your shoe's factory insole and using that as a measuring guide.
Hi I recently started using a PowerStep Plus Insoles for Morton neuroma pain. And it’s helping! I would like to buy something for use with running. Should I try the same? Or Do you recommend a specific insole for running?
Hi Ric, we're so happy Pinnacle Plus is helping with your Morton's Neuroma - we love to hear this! You can continue to use these if you'd like for running, but we'd suggest keeping your Pinnacle for your everyday shoes and trying our PULSE Plus in your running shoes. These will give you the same support as your Pinnacle, but our PULSE line uses a more shock-absorbing foam, which will feel better in your run shoes.
Will these fit well in ski boots and tall riding boots? And what is the thickness of these insoles in millimeters?
Hi Kirsten, we have a measurement chart on each of our product pages. Our Pinnacle Plus is .20" or 5.08mm thick in the ball of foot. These may be a tight fit in both ski and riding boots. For a more low profile option for tighter footwear, we'd suggest checking our PULSE Thin for a full length option or one of our 3/4 options.
My doctor recommended your Pinnacle Plus Met insert for my recently diagnosed Morton Neuroma, but these inserts require me to remove the factory installed cushions in my Skecher shoes, which are glued in very well and I’m afraid I’ll damage my shoes. Do you have a similar insert that works without removing the factory installed cushions?
Hi Jim, a lot of people are afraid of ruining their shoes when removing the glued in factory insoles, but in most cases it never ruins the shoes. If you really don't want to remove the factory insoles, you could pair our Original or PULSE Thin with our Metatarsal Cushions to get both the arch support and additional metatarsal cushion support comparable to our Pinnacle Plus.
