"Recommended by podiatrist and wow he was right. This brand is good and the morons extension for my arthritis is really good. Dont waste money with lesser brands just do it right the first time."

Hallux limitus, Morton’s extension

"After dealing with big toe pain for months and getting no relief with various shoes and insoles, finally had a steroid injection then felt instant comfort and support with the Morton’s Extension…etc. insole. I’ve realized that I need this insole to align my pronated foot which relieves my toe pressure."

Can't walk without the Morton's Extension Insoles

"I have worn PowerStep insoles for several years, but when I needed to have a carbon fiber insert because of bunions and no cartilage, I was thrilled to see that PowerStep actually makes an insole with a carbon fiber insert in the PowerStep insole I have been used to wearing! It is a miracle that will keep me from having surgery! There are other carbon fiber insoles on the market, but you would need an additional cushioned insole on top of that which is far too bulky for even a wide pair of athletic footwear. The PowerStep Mortons Extension fits like a normal insole and it has been life-changing for me!!"

Nancy (5/5)

I use two different kinds!

"I originally bought the insoles for plantar fasciitis. I love them! I have a bunion on my left foot, so I ended up ordering another pair for bunions. Now, I wear the bunion insole in my left shoe, and the plantar fasciitis insole in my right. So much pain relief!!!"

Dont work with current shoes.

"They are nice well made inserts but dont work well with my current shoes which are Altra's. I bought these on the recommendation of my podiatrist after being diagnosed with a painful bunion. The problem with them is they are too thick and my toes are rubbing on the top fabric of the front of the shoe making the problem even worse. I also tried them in a pair of Brooks running shoes with the same result. So will shelve these for now and will bring them with me next time I purchase new shoes and see if there is anything that would work with these. I will not purchase anymore due to the poor fit."

Good product, with some fit issues

"This is a very good product. The morton's extension helps by providing toe support while remaining somewhat flexible so you can walk normally. The issue is it very wide in the mid foot and heel, so it doesn't sit flat in any of my shoes. It ends up twisting, which makes the arch feel very high, and it is high already. There is an airspace between the mid sole and the bottom of the shoe, so I sound like Squidward from Sponge bob when I walk. This might not be a problem if you wear wide shoes. If it fit better is would be 5 stars"

JC (3/5)

Big toe injury

"I recently purchased these orthotics and they definitely changed everything for me. I had injured my big toe, slipped on ice, prior to buying the insoles and had swelling around my toe joint. The insoles make it easier for me to walk and remove the chances of bending my big toe and re-aggravating my injury. Since getting the insoles, my swelling has gone down and my recovery has been moving along quicker than before. I will continue to wear these orthotics for the rest of my life. Thank you Powerstep!"

Power Step with Morton Extension

"I like the Power Step quite well except that it is not wide enough in the forefoot for my foot."

Q&A

Is it possible to get the Morton's extension insoles with metatarsal pads?
Hi Michael, we can not manufacture them with metatarsal pads built in, but you can order our separate Metatarsal Cushions and place them on top.
Does the Morton extension come in extra wide width?
Hi Patricia, not unfortunately our Morton's Extension comes in standard medium width.
I have a bunion on one foot, but it doesn't bother me other than the ballot my foot aches, do I need these insoles or the ones for ball of foot pain?
Hi John-David, you may like our Pinnacle Plus if you are looking for additional support under your ball of foot. Our Pinnacle Plus includes built in metatarsal cushions.
Will these still provide the cushioning/support for high intensity, high impact training?
Hi Laurie, yes they will!
Can these be used in ski boots?
Great question! This really depends on the ski boot. If the factory insole is removable, there’s a better chance the fit will work. Ski boots can be very snug, so we always recommend checking the dimensions of the Morton's Extension - those are listed in the photos on the product page to compare against your boot’s footbed. If you’d prefer to check the fit in person, you can use the store locator at the bottom of our website to find a nearby retailer and try them in-store before committing.
