Reviews

Insoles are good. Metatarsal cushions are bad

"The insoles are great. They were recommended by my podiatrist. BUT my toes hurt. I saw the metatarsal cushions. I decided to try them. The instructions said to put them on the top side of the insoles. I followed the directions for placement. When I slipped my feet into my shoes, the cushions stuck to my socks. One came apart when I removed my shoe. The other was damaged on one end of the cushion. Don't waste your money. Powerstep needs to come up with a better design for these cushions."

Foot pain gone.

"Had been dealing with foot pain with my previous insoles (flat feet). These support my arches much better than any insole I've tried in the past. The toebox size of the insole was slightly larger than the inside of my shoe but they still work great and my foot pain is 100x better."

William N. (5/5)

More wide

"I love this brand of inserts, they hold up the best of any on the market. Truly a great value for the money , my only wish is that you offered more styles in wide. I truly believe wide foot people would agree with me."

My feet feel so much better

"My gait and foot pain and pressure have improved significantly since adding these to my work shoes, I am on my feet and walking all shift and these are a godsend."

DESIRAE B. (5/5)

Wide insoles

"I have used these for years but needed a wide insole. I have had several foot surgeries and they have been my go to insole. Found the wide ones on your website and they fit in my wide toe box shoes great. Thank you for making these."

WIDE INSOLES - GREAT COMFORT

"Recently I had to go to an extra wide shoe. I have been using power step orthotics for some time. The wide insoles did exactly what I expected. They fit the shoe perfectly, supported the arch. My feet are comfortable and I have no pain. Give them a try and see for yourself."

Q&A

Several years ago I purchased a Powerstep Wide Fit insole (ASIN: B009VJAUKG; size Women's 8-8.5 - C). I have a wide foot but not extra wide, and I'm concerned about this statement: "The Pinnacle Wide Fit insoles fit shoe widths 3E - 6E." I have loved my Powerstep insoles but nothing on my old order (I have a screenshot of it) says "Pinnacle." Also my old insole is totally gray, not the patterned blue. Are these really the same insole, and is there any other option for a wide-width insole?
Hi Lois! We completely understand the confusion caused by the visual and wording differences in the descriptions. We did an artwork refresh a couple of years ago, and the PowerStep grey wide orthotics you previously purchased are the same as the Pinnacle Wide — they just feature our updated blue patterned fabric. They’ve always been designed to fit 3E–6E width shoes.
My husband wears a 15 4e and has a low arch or flat feet. Do you recommend the wide insoles?
Hi Lisa! For a 4E width, we'd recommend our Pinnacle Wide, but since these are a neutral arch, we'd definitely recommend following our break-in period. This time allows your feet and body to adjust to the new biomechanics, improved alignment and the comfort and relief they’re made to provide. We recommend using PowerStep 1 hour the first day, followed by 1 additional hour per day for 5 days, and if that is comfortable you may wear them full-time. Sometimes, it takes 2 weeks to work up to full-day duration. Some users experience a longer break-in period. If you continue to have discomfort after the break-in period, please reach out to our customer care team at 888-237-3668 and we would be happy to help.
I have flat feet, it wearable 13 4e shoe. Do i go for the wide orthotic or the pinnacle?
Hi Ari, our Pinnacle Wide is designed to fit 3E-6E widths, but is a neutral arch. A lot of our customers with low arches/flat feet still find this to work well, but everyone is different. If you decide to give it a try, we do recommend a break-in period of 1 hour the first day, followed by 1 additional hour per day for 5 days, and if that is comfortable you may wear them full-time. Sometimes, it takes 2 weeks to work up to full-day duration.
Looking at the Powerstep Pinnacle or Maxx. Which orthotic should I buy for a 2E Wide width? Thank you!
Hello Vince. Thank you for your question! Our Pinnacle Wide insoles are designed to fit a 3E to a 6E shoe. While this may vary by shoe brand, our standard insoles should fit a 2E shoe. If you’re looking for help with overpronation, we suggest the Pinnacle Maxx insoles. Otherwise, you can try the Pinnacle Wide to see if they fit, or try our PowerStep Pinnacle insoles: https://powerstep.com/products/pinnacle-insoles We hope this helps!
I have very flat, very wide feet. I have lots of chronic pain. I usually wear a 9.5 4E in Men’s Brooks Beast shoes. What Powerstep would be best for me?
Hello, Can you tell me if your ankles roll in? If so then you need to have one with a heel post to help correct your ankles. That will support both your ankle and ache.
