"PowerStep was recommended by my doctor. She advised me what type I needed and I ordered them. I have been using them for over 4 years. They work very well. I buy SAS shoes and put the insoles in those shoes as they are high quality and the insoles fit perfectly. The PowerStep slippers are also very nice. The replacement wool insole for the slippers does not have enough support for my feet. I would highly recommend the PowerStep insoles."

Initial review.

"Initial review-fit well in my light day hiker shoes which are my daily shoes. The shoes are normally hot and these felt like they made my feet hotter. My feet normally sweat a lot. I think I hit the “I believe” button in that these would help with hot sweaty feet. I don’t think it will work for me. I have not yet hiked in them in my Oboz boots which is the purpose. I will have to update if the result is different. Comfort and support feels good. More arch than I am used to, but this is my first purchase of orthotics other than Dr Scholes."

What is the density of the 100% SAE wool felt that is used on these insoles?
Hi there! Great question - our Pinnacle Wool insoles are not made from 100% SAE wool, so the material wouldn’t have a “100% SAE wool felt” density rating. Instead, the top fabric is a 50% wool / 50% polyester blend with a weight of 655 g/m², which gives it that soft, warm feel while still being durable and moisture-managing.
How does the arch height compare to the pinnacle for low arches? I have very flat feet and pronate inward. Too high of arches hurt my feet. I work in landscaping and wear hiking boots.
Hi Carrier, Thank you for reaching out to PowerStep! I recommend trying our Pulse Maxx. They have a slanted heel post to help correct over pronation. They are a neutral arch height of 1.2-1.4" If that is too much height, then I do recommend the Pinnacle Low. The arch height on those is 1.04-1.24". Years ago I bought a Power Step Product that was dark maroon in color and was more expensive than any of these. I no longer see this product, and can't remember what it was called. What would you recommend as a replacement? It was the only one in that color (price had gone over $100 the last time I checked). Thanks.

Can you wear these in warm climates and/or summer months or are they intended only for colder weather?
